Russia and China have significantly increased food trade volumes
Russia and China continue to strengthen economic cooperation in the agricultural sector. According to the latest data, in the first seven months of the current year, the trade turnover of agricultural products between the two countries showed significant growth, increasing by 34.4% compared to the same period last year.
This indicator reflects the growing demand for Russian goods in the Chinese market. The main categories of products supplied from Russia to China remain grain crops, vegetable oils, fish, and seafood. Russian producers are actively expanding their presence in the PRC, using new logistics routes and export opportunities.
Experts note that the increase in trade volumes has become possible due to the development of bilateral trade relations and the simplification of quality control procedures. China remains one of Russia's key partners in the agro-industrial complex, and both sides express interest in further expanding the range of supplied goods.
The development of this direction is of great importance for the Russian economy, as it helps support domestic farmers and food producers. The growth of exports to China contributes to the creation of new jobs and the strengthening of food security within the framework of international cooperation.
In the near future, it is expected that the trend toward growth in trade turnover will continue. The governments of both countries continue to discuss measures to support business and eliminate barriers that may hinder the further development of trade ties in the agricultural sphere.
