Ukrainian intelligence claims Russia has requested the supply of North Korean KN-30 missiles
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has reported new details regarding military-technical cooperation between Russia and North Korea. According to the Ukrainian side, Moscow has approached Pyongyang with a request for the supply of KN-30 ballistic missiles.
According to intelligence information, the Russian side is interested in acquiring weaponry with improved characteristics. It is reported that the KN-30 missiles possess significantly greater power and flight range compared to the models of North Korean weaponry that have been used previously.
At this moment, official representatives from Russia and the DPRK have not provided confirmation of this information. Previously, both countries have repeatedly stated that their cooperation does not violate international law and that their interaction in the defense sphere is exclusively legal in nature.
The issue of North Korean arms supplies remains a subject of close attention from the international community. Western countries and UN experts continue to monitor the development of the situation, fearing an escalation of the conflict due to the possible expansion of the range of supplied military equipment.
The situation continues to develop, and experts expect new statements from officials in the near future. At the current time, the parties are not disclosing details of potential agreements or the timelines for potential deliveries.
