Large-scale renovation of regional roads continues in Russia
Since the beginning of this year, large-scale repair and construction work on the road network has been underway in Russia. As part of the "Infrastructure for Life" national project, specialists have already renovated more than 70 million square meters of road surface on regional highways. These measures are aimed at improving traffic safety and enhancing transport accessibility between cities and rural settlements.
Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin noted that the development of high-quality road infrastructure is one of the government's top priorities. The work includes not only laying new asphalt but also reinforcing shoulders and updating road markings and signs. Special attention is being paid to roads that lead to socially significant facilities: schools, hospitals, and tourist centers.
The implementation of the project allows for a significant reduction in travel time for motorists and a decrease in the number of traffic accidents. The modern technologies used in laying the pavement make the roads more resistant to temperature fluctuations and heavy loads, which is especially important for the climatic conditions of many Russian regions.
By the end of the year, it is planned to complete repairs on a number of other important sections. The authorities emphasize that infrastructure development will continue in the future to ensure comfortable travel for residents across the country. Road renovation remains a key factor for economic growth and improving the quality of life for citizens.
