Russian Defense Ministry reports destruction of over 6,000 Ukrainian drones in a week
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has published its weekly report on the performance of air defense systems. According to official data, over the past seven days, the Russian military has managed to intercept and destroy a significant number of aerial targets over the country's territory.
The ministry specified that during the stated period, air defense assets shot down 6,093 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles. These devices were neutralized in the skies over various Russian regions where airspace protection systems were in operation.
The performance of air defense remains one of the priority areas for ensuring the security of civilian facilities and infrastructure in border regions and other subjects of Russia. Military specialists continue round-the-clock monitoring of the airspace using modern radar and interception systems.
At the moment, the situation in the regions that were subjected to attacks is under the control of the relevant services. Authorities are urging residents to remain calm and follow official recommendations in the event of an air raid alert or the discovery of suspicious objects.
