Number of cyberattacks on companies in Russia has increased significantly
Experts from Positive Technologies have presented a report on the state of cybersecurity in Russia and the CIS countries. According to the data obtained, the level of digital threats to businesses has increased noticeably over the past year. Specialists note that the number of organizations that have encountered malicious software activity has grown from 46% to 70%.
Analysts emphasize that hackers have begun to act more aggressively and inventively. Most often, so-called resident malware is detected in corporate networks. Such programs can remain unnoticed in a system for a long time, which allows attackers to steal confidential data or control the operation of an enterprise's infrastructure.
The increase in the number of incidents is due to the fact that attack methods are constantly being improved. Companies that do not pay due attention to protecting their servers and workstations are becoming easy targets for cybercriminals. Large organizations that possess large volumes of personal data and important financial information are at particular risk.
Information security specialists are urging business leaders to reconsider their approaches to data protection. To reduce risks, experts recommend regularly updating software, using modern monitoring systems, and training employees in the basics of digital hygiene.
