Russia plans to expand the network of "Russian Houses" abroad
Rossotrudnichestvo has announced plans to expand its presence in other countries. The head of the agency, Igor Chaika, reported that agreements have already been signed to open 11 new "Russian Houses" around the world. These centers are intended to promote Russian culture, language, and education abroad.
"Russian Houses" operate as platforms for cultural exchange. They host exhibitions, lectures, Russian language courses, and meetings with artists. Such organizations help maintain ties with compatriots living in other countries and introduce foreign citizens to the traditions of Russia.
At the same time, the work of such centers abroad faces difficulties. For example, the German authorities recently made a decision to close one of the "Russian Houses" in Berlin. Despite this, the Russian side continues to implement its strategy for developing the network of cultural representative offices in other regions of the world.
At the moment, the specific countries where the new centers will appear have not yet been named. Rossotrudnichestvo emphasizes that the development of humanitarian ties remains an important direction of Russia's foreign policy, despite the complex international situation.
