Russian government to develop support measures for businesses in border regions
The Government of the Russian Federation has begun work on a special assistance program for entrepreneurs whose businesses have suffered as a result of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On the instructions of the President, the relevant ministries must prepare specific proposals for supporting the affected companies by August 10.
The main goal of the initiative is to help business owners resume operations and preserve jobs in the border regions. The authorities are considering various options for assistance, including tax incentives, direct subsidies, and concessional loans for the restoration of damaged facilities. These measures are aimed at ensuring that economic activity in the affected areas does not come to a halt.
Experts note that supporting business in the current conditions is critically important for social stability. Many entrepreneurs in the border regions have faced the destruction of warehouses, shops, and equipment, which has led to serious financial losses. State assistance will allow them to cover part of their expenses and continue providing the population with necessary goods and services.
It is expected that after August 10, the government will present a detailed action plan. The authorities also plan to assess the scale of damage in each specific case so that the distribution of funds is as fair and effective as possible. The situation in the regions remains under the personal control of the federal leadership.
