Russian developers have created an alternative to foreign chip analysis equipment
Positive Technologies has unveiled Russia's first laser system designed for microchip research. This is a significant milestone for the domestic technology industry, as such devices were previously supplied exclusively from abroad.
Developing proprietary equipment became a response to restrictions on the supply of critical technologies. Due to sanctions and the withdrawal of foreign companies, Russian enterprises faced a shortage of instruments necessary for quality control and semiconductor security.
The new system allows specialists to conduct detailed analysis of microchips, identify hidden defects, and check them for vulnerabilities. Using an in-house system will help Russian engineers better control production processes and ensure the cybersecurity of electronic components.
Experts note that creating such instruments domestically is a necessary step for the development of independent microelectronics. In the near future, the company plans to establish serial production of the system to supply it to Russian research centers and industrial enterprises.
