Zelenskyy comments on contacts between the US and Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Kyiv had received information from the American side regarding a series of meetings between US representatives and Russian officials in Moscow. According to the Ukrainian leader, these contacts were necessary to maintain dialogue in the current complex geopolitical situation.
Zelenskyy noted that the Ukrainian side had been informed in advance about the goals and content of these negotiations. He emphasized that it is important for Ukraine to maintain the "necessary tone" in its relations with Western partners in order to coordinate actions and understand Washington's position on key security issues.
In recent months, the international community has been closely monitoring any diplomatic channels of communication between Moscow and Washington. Experts note that such meetings may be aimed at discussing issues of global stability, prisoner exchanges, or the prevention of accidental conflicts.
At the moment, the details of the negotiations themselves remain closed to the general public. Official US representatives have not yet disclosed the details of the agenda, but they confirm that they are maintaining contact with their Russian counterparts to address critical tasks.
The situation remains in the focus of global media, as any diplomatic steps between the major nuclear powers directly affect security in Europe and throughout the world. Russia and the US continue to use these communication channels despite the high level of political tension.
