Russia returns to the international taekwondo competition calendar
Russian athletes and fans have received important news: the international governing body, World Taekwondo, has officially lifted the ban on hosting competitions within Russian territory. This decision opens up new opportunities for the development of the sport in the country.
Previously, existing restrictions prevented Russia from hosting international-level tournaments. Now, following a review of the World Taekwondo Council's position, the situation has changed. The Russian Taekwondo Union has already begun preparations to organize future events that will attract athletes from various countries.
For Russian athletes, this event signifies a return to full-fledged competitive practice on home soil. Participating in international tournaments within the country will help athletes maintain a high level of training and compete against strong rivals without having to travel abroad.
At the moment, representatives of sports organizations are working out the details of the future competition calendar. It is expected that the first tournaments could be scheduled in the near future, which will be an important step for Russian sports under the current conditions.
