Russia Celebrates Kindergarten Teacher and Preschool Worker Day
On September 27, Russia celebrates a professional holiday — Kindergarten Teacher and Preschool Worker Day. This day is dedicated to the people who care for children every day, help them develop, and make their first steps in learning comfortable and engaging.
The history of this holiday is inextricably linked to Saint Petersburg. It was in this city 162 years ago, on September 27, 1863, that the first kindergarten in Russia was opened. Since then, the preschool education system has come a long way, becoming an important part of the lives of millions of Russian families.
Today, the work of a preschool teacher requires not only specialized knowledge but also great patience, kindness, and responsibility. Educators in preschool institutions create an atmosphere in which a child learns to interact with peers, explores the world around them, and prepares for school.
On this day, festive events, concerts, and meetings are held across the country to honor the best kindergarten staff. Parents and pupils express their gratitude to the educators for their important and noble work, which lays the foundation for every child's future.
