Delivery robots assist doctors in Moscow hospitals
The first stage of a pilot project involving the use of delivery robots has been successfully completed in Moscow hospitals. These smart machines began operating in the city's medical facilities in March of this year. Currently, six automated devices are involved in the project, assisting staff with their daily tasks.
The primary task of the robots is to transport various items within the buildings. They deliver medications, lab samples, documents, and supplies between departments. As a result, medical staff can spend more time interacting with patients and performing procedures without being distracted by logistics.
The results of the experiment have been impressive. Over several months of operation, the robots have saved doctors and nurses nearly 3,000 hours of working time. This allows hospital staff to work more efficiently and reduces their physical workload during shifts.
Technologies continue to be actively integrated into Moscow's healthcare system. The successful experience of using delivery robots demonstrates that automation helps make medical care faster and of higher quality. In the future, there are plans to evaluate the possibility of expanding this project to other hospitals in the city.
