Government Approves New University Specialties and Self-Employed Taxes
Today in this issue: the government has approved new fields of study in universities, and deputies have proposed maintaining current taxes for the self-employed. It also became known about exercises for military commissars in the Volgograd region and a sentence for preparing a terrorist attack in Ingushetia.
The Russian government has approved the list of specialties and fields of study for the new higher education system. This decision determines which programs students will study under the university reform. Simultaneously, the United Russia party announced the need to keep working conditions for the self-employed unchanged until the end of 2028. This concerns tax rates and benefits for citizens who work for themselves without hiring employees and pay the professional income tax.
Special training sessions for military commissars (heads of local military administration bodies) were held in the city of Volzhsky, Volgograd region. Seventeen military commissars from the Astrakhan and Rostov regions, Kalmykia, and other regions took part in the exercises. The main theme of the event was practicing mobilization actions. A report on the exercises was published by the city administration but later removed from official channels.
The Southern District Military Court passed a sentence on a resident of Ingushetia. He was sentenced to eight years in prison for preparing an explosion in a church in the city of Sunzha. Additionally, the Investigative Committee (SK) of Russia requested a report on an incident in Buryatia. There, underage motorcyclists hit an elderly woman, an honored teacher, who suffered fractures as a result of the collision.
