Money supply in Russia: August results
The Central Bank of the Russian Federation has published fresh data on the volume of the money supply in the country. According to the report, this figure increased by 1% in August. Thus, the total volume of money in the economy continues to grow, which reflects the current dynamics of financial processes.
Despite the monthly growth, the annual rate of increase in the money supply has slowed down slightly. By the end of August, it stood at 12.8%. For comparison, this figure was higher in previous months. Economists are closely monitoring these changes, as they influence the inflation rate and the availability of credit for businesses and the population.
The money supply includes cash in circulation, as well as funds in the bank accounts of citizens and companies. The regulator uses this tool to manage economic growth. Stable money supply indicators help maintain a balance between the supply and demand for goods and services in the domestic market.
Analysts note that the current growth rates are in line with the regulator's forecasts. In the coming months, experts will observe how the change in the money supply will affect the consumer activity of Russians and the investment plans of large enterprises.
