Poland has stepped up border patrols due to Russian aviation activity
The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces has announced the strengthening of security measures in the country's airspace. Due to the high activity of Russian long-range aviation, the Polish military has scrambled F-16 fighter jets and helicopters. These actions are aimed at ensuring the protection of state borders and monitoring the situation in the region.
According to the Polish military, an increased intensity of flights by Russian aircraft, which are conducting strikes on targets within Ukraine, has been observed in recent hours. Poland, as a NATO member state, is closely monitoring the flight paths of the aircraft to prevent any violations of its airspace.
Polish authorities emphasize that such measures are standard procedure given the current tensions. Air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have been placed on high alert. This allows for a prompt response to any changes in the situation near Polish borders.
The situation remains under control, although Polish authorities are urging citizens to remain calm. Similar incidents have occurred previously, and each time the Polish armed forces have acted in accordance with the alliance's security protocols. At present, aviation flights over Polish territory continue to ensure the safety of the population.
