Drone attack targets Abha International Airport
The Houthi group in Yemen announced on Monday that it had carried out an attack targeting Abha International Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The group used drones and ballistic missiles in this attack, which has raised security concerns in the region.
Abha International Airport is a vital facility in the south of Saudi Arabia, serving thousands of travelers daily. This incident comes in the context of ongoing tensions in the region, as attempts to target civilian and economic facilities within Saudi territory have occurred repeatedly in the past.
For its part, Saudi authorities are working continuously to strengthen air defense systems to protect the country's security and the safety of its citizens and residents. Official authorities consistently emphasize their ability to counter these threats and prevent them from reaching their targets, in order to ensure the safe continuation of air traffic.
International bodies are closely monitoring these developments, as many countries are calling for the need to de-escalate and commit to peaceful solutions to end the conflict in Yemen. The primary goal remains to ensure the stability of the region and avoid any risks that could affect civilians or infrastructure.
