GCC countries provide $6.1 billion in humanitarian aid in 2025
The General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has released a recent statistical report detailing the scale of humanitarian efforts provided by member states during 2025. The report showed that the GCC countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, contributed a total of $6.1 billion USD to support international relief programs.
This aid comes within the framework of the Gulf states' commitment to supporting populations facing humanitarian crises and natural disasters around the world. This assistance varies between providing food supplies, medical necessities, and supporting infrastructure projects in the most needy countries, reflecting the region's leading role in global charitable work.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is among the most prominent contributors to these initiatives, working through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre to deliver aid directly and sustainably to those affected. These efforts contribute to alleviating human suffering and promoting stability in many regions suffering from difficult conditions.
This report confirms the keenness of the GCC countries to enhance international solidarity and coordinate joint humanitarian efforts. These countries continue to provide financial and logistical support to ensure that aid reaches those who deserve it, affirming the values of giving and cooperation adopted by the Gulf states in their foreign policy.
