Marriott International Announces the Opening of a New 'Westin' Hotel in Abha
Marriott International recently announced its plans to open a new hotel under the 'Westin' brand in the city of Abha, Saudi Arabia. This move comes as part of efforts to strengthen the hospitality and tourism sector in the Asir region, which is witnessing significant growth as a prominent year-round tourist destination.
The new hotel will feature 464 diverse hotel rooms, in addition to a collection of villas, chalets, and apartments designed for extended stays. This variety in accommodation units aims to meet the needs of different visitors, whether they are tourists seeking comfort or families who prefer privacy.
In addition to the accommodations, the hotel will provide integrated facilities including a number of international restaurants, halls equipped for meetings and conferences, and modern health and recreational facilities. These facilities aim to offer a comprehensive experience for guests that aligns with the global standards of the 'Westin' brand.
This project is part of the Kingdom's strategy to develop tourism infrastructure in the Asir region, in line with Saudi Vision 2030. The hotel is expected to contribute to creating new job opportunities and supporting the local economy by attracting more visitors to the region, which is distinguished by its stunning nature and moderate climate.
