Saudi Arabia supports the electricity sector in Yemen with 300 megawatts
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced new support for the services and infrastructure sector in Yemen, as part of its ongoing efforts to assist the Yemeni people and improve their living conditions.
This support consists of providing 300 megawatts of electrical power, allocated to the governorates of Aden and Hadhramaut. This initiative comes as part of a grant provided by the Kingdom to enhance the stability of the country's energy sector.
This step aims to alleviate the suffering of citizens in the two governorates, where the electricity sector faces significant challenges that affect daily life and essential services. This support is expected to contribute to improving the efficiency of the electrical grid and providing a more stable power supply.
This assistance comes within the context of the humanitarian and developmental role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support Yemen, as Riyadh is keen to provide aid in various vital sectors, including health, education, and energy.
This initiative confirms the Kingdom's commitment to supporting Yemen's stability and rebuilding its infrastructure, which enhances opportunities for sustainable development and eases the economic burdens on Yemeni citizens in light of the difficult circumstances the country is going through.
