Launch of the "Healthy Hajj" campaign to enhance medical care for pilgrims within the Kingdom
Health authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have launched the "Healthy Hajj" campaign, a national initiative aimed at providing comprehensive medical support to pilgrims from within the Kingdom. This step comes as part of the Kingdom's commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of the pilgrims, and providing all necessary resources to enable them to perform their Hajj rituals in a healthy and safe environment.
The campaign targets more than 160,000 male and female pilgrims from various regions of the Kingdom. Through this initiative, medical teams are working to provide primary care services before the start of the Hajj season, which helps in assessing the health status of pilgrims before they head to the holy sites.
The services provided in the campaign include conducting precise clinical examinations, in addition to comprehensive laboratory tests. These examinations aim to detect any health issues early and provide the necessary medical advice to each pilgrim, ensuring the stability of their health throughout the performance of the rituals.
These efforts are part of a series of initiatives launched annually by the Saudi Ministry of Health to develop medical services during the Hajj season. Through this campaign, the Ministry seeks to reduce health risks and provide integrated medical coverage for all pilgrims, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop the Hajj and Umrah service system.
