GCC condemns Houthi attack and reaffirms the security and stability of the Kingdom
The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) strongly condemned the recent attack launched by the Houthi group towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This condemnation comes within the framework of the Council states' commitment to maintaining the security and stability of the region, and rejecting any aggression that threatens the integrity of Saudi territory.
The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced that air defense forces were able to intercept and destroy the ballistic missiles launched by the group. The Coalition emphasized that these military operations are primarily aimed at protecting civilians and vital areas from ongoing threats.
Member states of the GCC stressed the need for a firm international stance to deter these attacks. Official statements indicated that the continuation of these assaults hinders peace efforts and affects the stability of navigation and regional security in general.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to take all necessary measures to protect its borders and citizens. Relevant authorities confirm that air defense forces are in a state of constant readiness to deal with any potential threats to ensure the continuation of normal life in all regions of the Kingdom.
