Formation of a new committee to develop neighborhood headman (Omda) services in the Kingdom
The competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recently approved the formation of a new specialized committee aimed at developing and improving the services of neighborhood headmen (Omdas) in various residential districts.
This step comes within the framework of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to enhance community security and further activate the role of the Omda in serving citizens and residents within their neighborhoods.
The new committee will work on reviewing and updating the tasks and responsibilities assigned to Omdas, in line with modern developments and the changing security and social needs in Saudi cities.
It is expected that this development will contribute to increasing the efficiency of communication between Omdas and security agencies, which will help in the rapid response to reports and enhance stability in the neighborhoods.
This initiative is part of a comprehensive vision aimed at improving the quality of life in residential areas and ensuring the provision of advanced and rapid government services to all members of society.
