Saudi Arabia announces "Eye of Hijaz" project in Madinah to attract investment
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recently unveiled ambitious plans to establish a new entertainment project called the "Eye of Hijaz" in Madinah. This project comes as part of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to develop the tourism and entertainment sector, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the national economy.
The cost of constructing this massive observation wheel is expected to reach approximately 511 million Saudi Riyals, equivalent to 135 million US dollars. The project will be implemented through a partnership with the private sector, as the relevant authorities seek to encourage investors to participate in the development of this new tourist landmark.
The "Eye of Hijaz" project aims to provide a unique entertainment experience for visitors and tourists coming to Madinah, as well as for local residents. The wheel is planned to offer wide panoramic views of the city's landmarks, contributing to enhancing Madinah's position as a comprehensive global tourist destination.
This step comes within a series of development projects witnessed across various regions of the Kingdom to improve the quality of life and provide diverse entertainment options. Once completed, this project is expected to contribute to creating new job opportunities and supporting the local economy in the Madinah region.
