Saudi Arabia launches pilot phase for tourist package visas for seven countries
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the launch of a new pilot phase for tourist package visas, as part of its ongoing efforts to boost the tourism sector and attract more visitors from around the world.
This pilot phase targets seven specific countries: India, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, in addition to Mexico. This step aims to facilitate travel procedures for eligible travelers from these countries who wish to visit the Kingdom.
This initiative comes within Saudi Arabia's strategy to develop the tourism sector, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify national income sources. The new visa allows travelers to benefit from various tourist packages that include accommodation and logistical services.
It is expected that this move will contribute to an increase in the number of tourists arriving in the Kingdom, thereby enhancing Saudi Arabia's position as a leading global tourist destination. Through this trial, the relevant authorities also seek to evaluate and improve procedures to ensure the best possible experience for visitors.
The Kingdom continues to update its visa systems to be more flexible and accessible, reflecting its commitment to opening its doors to different cultures and stimulating economic activity related to the tourism and hospitality sector.
