UN Security Council condemns Houthi attacks on the Kingdom and commercial vessels
In its latest session, the UN Security Council strongly condemned the ongoing attacks carried out by the Houthi group, which target Saudi territory and maritime navigation in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
Members of the Council emphasized that these attacks pose a serious threat to security and stability in the region, in addition to their negative impact on global trade traffic passing through the Red Sea.
The Council warned that the continuation of these hostile acts hinders peace efforts in Yemen and directly affects the safety of international commercial vessels traversing these vital waterways.
The international community called on all parties to adhere to international law, stressing the necessity of immediately halting these assaults to ensure the security of maritime navigation and protect civilians in the Kingdom and the region.
