Iraq launches investigation into drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and the UAE
The Iraqi Prime Minister has issued official directives to launch an urgent and comprehensive investigation into drone attacks that were launched from within Iraqi territory and targeted both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Saudi authorities announced that they had successfully intercepted three drones that entered their airspace coming from the direction of Iraq. This step comes within the framework of efforts exerted by the Kingdom to protect its national security and sovereignty from any external threats that could affect the stability of the region.
For its part, the Emirati authorities have been following the security developments related to these attacks, as the drones caused a state of security alert. The competent authorities in the concerned countries are working to collect evidence and identify the parties responsible for launching these aircraft.
The Iraqi government reaffirms its commitment to maintaining good neighborly relations with Gulf countries, emphasizing that it will not allow its territory to be used as a launchpad for any hostile acts against brotherly nations. Investigations are currently ongoing to reach accurate findings regarding the source of these drones and the parties behind them.
The international community is following these developments with great interest, as protecting the security of airspace and flight zones is a top priority to ensure the stability of navigation and regional security in the Arabian Gulf region.
