Ministry of Health suspends health practitioner's license due to irregular promotion
The Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken strict legal measures against a health practitioner following their appearance in a video clip circulating on social media platforms. The clip included the promotion of a medical product known as "exosomes" in a manner that violates the health regulations in force in the Kingdom.
The Ministry explained that the health practitioner promoted this product without obtaining the necessary approvals or adhering to approved medical standards. Accordingly, the competent authorities within the Ministry decided to temporarily suspend their professional practice license to ensure patient safety and protect the community from unreliable medical practices.
This step comes as part of the Ministry of Health's commitment to monitoring medical content published online and ensuring that all healthcare sector workers comply with regulations and bylaws. The Ministry consistently emphasizes the importance of obtaining medical information from official and reliable sources and avoiding being swayed by promotional advertisements that may harm public health.
In concluding its statement, the Ministry of Health called on all citizens and residents to report any suspicious health practices or violations they may observe. It also stressed that it will not tolerate the application of legal penalties against anyone who violates health regulations, with the aim of maintaining the quality of medical services provided in the Kingdom.
