Launch of the "Healthy Hajj" campaign to enhance medical care for pilgrims within the Kingdom
Health authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have launched the "Healthy Hajj" campaign, a national initiative aimed at providing comprehensive medical support for pilgrims arriving from within the Kingdom. This step comes as part of the Kingdom's commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of the pilgrims during the Hajj season.
The campaign targets more than 160,000 male and female pilgrims from various regions of the Kingdom. The initiative offers a variety of medical services, including primary care visits before the start of Hajj rituals, in addition to conducting comprehensive clinical and laboratory examinations to verify the health status of the pilgrims.
These examinations aim to detect any health issues that pilgrims might face early on and to provide them with the necessary medical consultations. The medical teams participating in the campaign work to provide preventive and therapeutic support to ensure the rituals are performed in a healthy and safe environment.
This campaign is part of the Ministry of Health's ongoing efforts to develop the services provided during the Hajj season, and it underscores the Kingdom's commitment to harnessing all medical and technical resources to serve the pilgrims, reflecting the great attention the Saudi leadership pays to the safety of the guests of God.
