Structural changes in the energy and industrial sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has recently witnessed the issuance of new royal decrees aimed at enhancing work efficiency in vital sectors, as significant regulatory decisions were taken regarding the energy, industry, and mineral resources sectors.
Under these decrees, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman will directly lead the energy, industry, and mineral resources sectors. This step comes within the framework of the Kingdom's efforts to unify efforts and develop these strategic sectors, which are considered a fundamental pillar of Saudi Vision 2030.
In the context of these changes, it was announced that Bandar Al-Khorayef would move to the Council of Economic and Development Affairs. These administrative adjustments are intended to ensure the continuity of work and achieve the ambitious goals set by the state to develop national industry and increase investments in the fields of mining and energy.
These decisions are part of the Kingdom's ongoing strategy to develop the structure of government institutions, ensuring the speed of decision-making and raising the level of performance in ministries and bodies concerned with economic development.
It is expected that these changes will contribute to supporting the Kingdom's economic transformation journey and strengthening Saudi Arabia's position as a leading global power in the fields of energy and diverse industries over the coming years.
