Drone attack targets Abha International Airport
The Houthi group in Yemen announced on Monday that it had carried out an attack targeting Abha International Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The group used drones and ballistic missiles in this attack, raising security concerns in the region.
Abha Airport is considered a vital facility in the south of the Kingdom, serving thousands of passengers daily. This operation comes in the context of ongoing tensions in the region, as Saudi authorities seek to protect their national security and secure airports and public facilities from any external threats.
For its part, Saudi air defenses are constantly working to counter such attacks to protect civilians and infrastructure. Official authorities in the Kingdom affirm their commitment to taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens and residents in all regions of the Kingdom.
International bodies are closely monitoring these developments, with many countries calling for the need to de-escalate and commit to peaceful solutions. The security situation at Abha Airport and its surrounding areas remains under constant monitoring by the competent authorities to ensure that operations continue safely.
