Ministry of Health suspends health practitioner's license due to irregular promotion
The Saudi Ministry of Health has taken firm legal action against a health practitioner who appeared in videos circulating on social media platforms. This decision was made after the practitioner promoted the use of a medical product known as "exosomes" in a manner that violates the health regulations in force in the Kingdom.
The Ministry explained that it suspended the practitioner's professional license immediately upon detecting the violating content. This step comes as part of the Ministry's commitment to protecting members of society from unreliable medical practices that may affect their safety and public health.
In its statement, the Ministry of Health emphasized the necessity for all health practitioners to adhere to professional standards and approved regulations when providing any medical advice or services through digital media. It confirmed that the promotion of medical products must be carried out in accordance with precise scientific guidelines and under the supervision of the competent authorities to ensure patient safety.
The Ministry called on citizens and residents to obtain medical information from official and reliable sources, and to avoid being swayed by advertisements circulated on social media platforms without verifying their authorization. It also urged everyone to report any suspicious health practices through the Ministry's official channels.
