Drone attack targets Abha International Airport
The Houthi group in Yemen announced on Monday that it had carried out an attack targeting Abha International Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The group used ballistic missiles and explosive-laden drones in this attack, raising security concerns in the region.
This operation comes within the framework of the ongoing escalation in the regional conflict, as reports stated that the attack was a response to military operations led by coalition forces in Yemen. This incident is part of a series of previous attacks that have targeted civilian and vital facilities within Saudi territory.
For its part, Saudi authorities are working to secure airports and vital facilities to ensure the safety of travelers and citizens. The competent authorities are taking all necessary defensive measures to address these threats and protect the national airspace from any potential breaches.
The international community is following these developments with concern, as many countries and organizations are calling for the need to stop the escalation and return to political dialogue. The primary goal remains to reach a peaceful solution that ensures the stability of the region and protects civilians from the effects of armed conflicts.
