Saudi Arabia grants first open banking license to Lean Technologies
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved a significant milestone in its financial digital transformation journey, as the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) announced the granting of the first official license to Lean Technologies to provide open banking services in the Kingdom.
This step is part of the Kingdom's strategy to strengthen the fintech sector and falls within the framework of supporting Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to develop digital financial services. Open banking allows customers to securely share their financial data with fintech companies, making it easier for them to access diverse and innovative financial services.
Lean Technologies is considered a leader in this field, providing technical solutions that connect financial institutions with various applications. This license is expected to improve the user experience in the Kingdom by offering faster and more efficient payment services, in addition to fostering competition in the financial market.
This decision comes after significant efforts by the Saudi Central Bank to regulate and develop the business environment for startups. This move reaffirms the Kingdom's commitment to providing an attractive investment environment for technology companies, contributing to the strengthening of the digital economy and increasing reliance on modern financial solutions in the daily transactions of citizens and residents.
