Singapore Arrival Card to Get Easier and More Accessible with New Updates
The Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC), a mandatory document for all travelers entering the country, is set to receive a significant update. The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) announced that the system will soon feature a refreshed interface designed to make the arrival process smoother for visitors.
One of the most important changes is the addition of 19 different language options. This update aims to help international travelers who may not be fluent in English, making it easier for them to complete their arrival declarations accurately and quickly.
In addition to the new languages, the system will introduce a passport scan feature. This technology will allow users to scan their passports to automatically fill in their personal details. By reducing the need for manual typing, the ICA hopes to minimize errors and save time for travelers arriving at Singapore’s borders.
These improvements are part of Singapore's ongoing efforts to use technology to enhance the experience for both residents and visitors. By simplifying the digital arrival process, the authorities aim to maintain efficient border control while welcoming guests from around the world.
Travelers are encouraged to look out for these updates when planning their next trip to Singapore. The new features are expected to make the transition through immigration faster and more user-friendly for everyone.
