Singapore Athletes Reflect on Performance at the Asian Games
Singapore’s national athletes have officially concluded their journey at the recent Asian Games. The team finished the competition with a total of 18 medals, which included two gold, nine silver, and seven bronze medals.
Sports officials stated that the athletes successfully met the internal medal projections set before the start of the games. These targets were based on the team's previous training performance and international rankings leading up to the event.
While the results met expectations, officials noted that there is still work to be done. The focus for the national sports body will now shift toward closing the performance gap in events where Singapore narrowly missed out on the gold medal.
Looking ahead, the team plans to review their strategies and training programs. By analyzing the competition, coaches hope to better prepare athletes for future international challenges and improve their chances of reaching the top of the podium in upcoming tournaments.
