Singapore Bunker Fuel Prices See Significant Drop
Bunker fuel prices in Singapore, the world's busiest bunkering hub, have experienced a notable decline today. According to the latest market data recorded at 12.00 SGT, the cost of various fuel grades used by ships has fallen across the board.
Specifically, the price of Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO) dropped by $47 per metric tonne, bringing the current price to $793 per metric tonne. This fuel is a primary choice for many vessels operating in international waters.
In addition, the price for B30-VLSFO, a biofuel blend, saw an even sharper decrease. It fell by $64 per metric tonne, reaching a new price of $969 per metric tonne. These price adjustments reflect the ongoing volatility in global energy markets.
As Singapore remains a critical port for global shipping, changes in fuel costs are closely monitored by the maritime industry. These fluctuations can influence shipping expenses and operational costs for companies that rely on the port for refueling.
