Tech Data Expands Cloud Storage Services in Singapore
Tech Data, a global technology distributor, has announced a new partnership to bring Wasabi Technologies' cloud storage solutions to businesses in Singapore and Malaysia. This collaboration aims to provide local companies with more options for managing their growing data needs.
Wasabi is a cloud storage company based in Boston that was established in 2017. The company is well-known for offering affordable and high-performance storage services. By working with Tech Data, Wasabi hopes to reach more organizations across Southeast Asia that are looking for efficient digital infrastructure.
This expansion is a significant step for Wasabi, which already established a dedicated storage region in Singapore back in 2022. Having a local storage region allows businesses to keep their data closer to home, which often results in faster access speeds and better compliance with local data regulations.
As more Singaporean companies shift their operations to the cloud, the demand for reliable and cost-effective storage continues to rise. This partnership is expected to support the digital transformation efforts of many local businesses, helping them store large amounts of information securely and affordably.
