FairPrice Doubles Grocery Discount for CHAS Card Holders
NTUC FairPrice has announced a new initiative to help lower-income families in Singapore manage the rising cost of living. Starting immediately, shoppers who hold Blue and Orange Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) cards will receive a 6 per cent discount on their grocery purchases at all FairPrice outlets.
This new discount is double the previous rate of 3 per cent. The supermarket chain confirmed that this special offer will remain in place until January 1, 2025. This move is part of the retailer’s ongoing efforts to support the community during challenging economic times.
To qualify for the discount, customers simply need to present their valid Blue or Orange CHAS card at the checkout counter. The discount applies to a wide range of essential items, helping households save more money on their weekly food and household needs.
FairPrice has stated that this initiative is designed to provide immediate relief to those who need it most. By increasing the discount, the company hopes to make daily necessities more affordable for lower-income Singaporeans as they prepare for the upcoming holiday season.
