New Vanguard Healthcare Facility Opens in Hougang to Support Aging Patients
A new healthcare facility has officially opened in Hougang to provide better support for elderly patients in Singapore. Operated by Vanguard Healthcare, the center is designed to offer both nursing care and mental health rehabilitation services in one location.
Health Minister Ong Ye Kung highlighted the importance of this facility during its launch. He explained that as patients at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) get older, they require specialized care that combines medical treatment with long-term nursing support. This new center helps to fill a critical gap in the current healthcare system.
