Singapore Computer Society Launches New AI Career Roadmap
The Singapore Computer Society (SCS) has officially introduced a new career pathway designed to help professionals develop essential skills in artificial intelligence. This initiative aims to support the growing demand for AI expertise across various industries in Singapore, ensuring that the local workforce remains competitive in an increasingly digital economy.
The new program focuses on five specific entry-level roles that are critical to the development and management of AI systems. These positions include AI Platform Engineer, AI Application Engineer, and AI Solutions Architect. By providing a clear structure for these technical roles, the SCS hopes to guide students and mid-career professionals toward successful careers in technology.
In addition to technical positions, the pathway also covers non-technical roles such as AI Product Manager and AI Ethics and Governance Specialist. This inclusion recognizes that the successful implementation of AI requires not only coding skills but also expertise in business strategy, product development, and the responsible use of technology.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen Singapore’s position as a global hub for AI innovation. By offering a structured learning path, the SCS aims to lower the barriers to entry for those looking to transition into the AI sector. Interested individuals can now access these resources to better understand the requirements and responsibilities associated with these emerging job roles.
