Young South Africans Look to AI to Improve Government Services
A new initiative is encouraging young South Africans to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve challenges within the public sector. This project serves as a key part of the lead-up to the upcoming GovTech 2026 conference, which is scheduled to take place from 21 to 23 September.
The GovTech conference is a major event that brings together technology experts, government officials, and innovators. By focusing on AI, organizers hope to find modern solutions to improve how government services are delivered to citizens across the country.
Young people are being encouraged to share their ideas and technical skills to help modernize public administration. Experts believe that integrating new technology into government systems could lead to faster, more efficient, and more transparent services for all South Africans.
As the country prepares for the conference in September, the focus remains on how digital transformation can bridge the gap between the government and the public. This event highlights the growing importance of technology in shaping the future of South African governance.
