Thousands of South African Christians Gather to Pray for Israel
On 19 September, a large group of South African Christians met at the Beula Park conference centre in Johannesburg. More than 5 500 people attended the event to show their support for Israel and the Jewish community.
Participants at the gathering spent the day in prayer, focusing on the current situation in the Middle East. The event highlighted the strong connection that many local religious groups feel toward Israel and its people.
This gathering comes at a time when international relations and the conflict in the Middle East remain a significant topic of discussion in South Africa. The attendees used the platform to express their solidarity through faith and public assembly.
Organizers emphasized that the event was a peaceful demonstration of their beliefs. The large turnout reflects the ongoing interest and involvement of South African religious communities in global affairs.
As the situation in the region continues to develop, such gatherings demonstrate how international events can influence local communities across South Africa. The event concluded with a call for continued prayer and support for the Jewish people.
