New Youth Employment Opportunities Open in Gauteng for 2026/2027
The Wits Health Consortium has officially announced the launch of its Youth Employment Service (YES) programme for the 2026/2027 period. This initiative is designed to provide support to unemployed young people across South Africa by offering structured work experience and professional development.
This year, the programme is offering 23 paid positions based in Gauteng. The primary goal of the initiative is to bridge the gap between education and the workplace, helping participants gain practical skills that are highly valued by employers in the health and administrative sectors.
Beyond providing a monthly income, the programme focuses on long-term career growth. Participants will receive mentorship and training, which are intended to improve their future job prospects in a competitive national market. By gaining hands-on experience, young professionals can build a stronger resume and expand their professional networks.
Applications are currently open for those who meet the specific criteria set by the Wits Health Consortium. Interested candidates are encouraged to review the requirements carefully to ensure they qualify for these roles. This programme represents a significant effort to address youth unemployment in the region and foster economic independence among the younger generation.
