Young South Africans Look to AI to Improve Government Services
A new initiative is encouraging young South Africans to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve challenges within the public sector. This project serves as a lead-up to the upcoming GovTech 2026 conference, which is scheduled to take place from 21 to 23 September.
Experts believe that AI technology could play a vital role in making government services more efficient and accessible for citizens. By using new digital tools, young innovators hope to find creative solutions to long-standing problems in service delivery across the country.
The GovTech conference is a major event that brings together technology leaders, government officials, and young professionals. The focus of this year’s discussions will be on how digital transformation can help build a better future for all South Africans.
As the country prepares for the September event, organizers are calling on the youth to share their ideas and technical skills. The goal is to create a bridge between modern technology and the needs of the public, ensuring that government systems become faster and more reliable for everyone.
