BOSA Calls for Focus on Competence Ahead of Elections
As South Africa prepares for upcoming elections, political parties are beginning to share their plans for the country. Mmusi Maimane, the leader of Build One South Africa (BOSA), recently spoke at his party’s manifesto launch to address how voters should choose their next leaders.
Maimane argued that citizens should look beyond political ideology when casting their votes. Instead, he suggested that voters should focus on the ability of a party to actually deliver on its promises. He emphasized that the main priority for any government should be the practical implementation of policies that improve the lives of citizens.
According to BOSA, the country needs leaders who are competent and capable of solving real-world problems. Maimane stated that empty promises are not enough and that political parties must be held accountable for their actions and their track records in governance.
This message comes at a time when many South Africans are expressing frustration with service delivery and economic challenges. By highlighting competence over traditional political labels, BOSA hopes to change the way voters evaluate the different options on the ballot paper.
As the election period approaches, political analysts expect more parties to focus on their specific plans for job creation and infrastructure. Voters are encouraged to study these manifestos carefully to decide which party has the best strategy for the future of the nation.
