2026 Women in Tech Awards to Celebrate South African Female Entrepreneurs
The South African technology sector is preparing for the 2026 Women in Tech Awards. This upcoming event aims to shine a spotlight on the significant contributions of women who own and manage small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry.
Organizers of the awards believe that recognizing these businesses is essential for the growth of the local digital economy. By highlighting the success of female-led companies, the initiative hopes to encourage more women to pursue careers and business opportunities in the fast-moving world of technology.
The awards will focus on celebrating innovation, leadership, and the ability of female entrepreneurs to overcome challenges in a competitive market. Many of these businesses have played a vital role in providing digital solutions to local communities, proving that women are key drivers of technological progress in South Africa.
As the date for the 2026 ceremony approaches, the industry expects a high number of entries from across the country. Supporters of the event hope that this recognition will lead to more investment and networking opportunities for female-owned tech firms, helping them to expand their reach both locally and internationally.
