Domestic Defense Startups Launch 'Basecamp' to Enter U.S. Market
Recently, domestic defense industry and dual-use technology startups have been actively moving to enter the U.S. market. In line with this trend, the domestic company 'Exceed Tech' has established a 'Basecamp' in Oregon, USA, and has begun full-scale operations.
Basecamp serves as a hub that helps promising domestic defense and technology startups stay in the U.S. to verify their technologies and expand their businesses. It is highly significant in that it allows innovative technologies developed in South Korea to be directly tested and evaluated in the U.S. market.
Through this project, domestic companies can enhance the maturity of their technologies by collaborating with local U.S. partners. In particular, it is expected to serve as a crucial stepping stone for startups with 'dual-use technologies' that can be utilized in both defense and civilian sectors to enter the U.S. market.
Exceed Tech and other domestic companies plan to strengthen their global competitiveness through the operation of this Basecamp. Expectations are high for whether more Korean startups will be able to gain recognition for their technological prowess and achieve successful business outcomes in the U.S.
