JEI University and the ROK Army 17th Infantry Division Collaborate to Cultivate Talent in Defense Drones and Artificial Intelligence
JEI University has joined hands with the ROK Army 17th Infantry Division to cooperate on the advancement of future technologies in the defense sector. This agreement was established to introduce drone and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into the defense field and to systematically cultivate professional talent in these related areas.
Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to establish an academic-military cooperation system and engage in active exchanges in the fields of technical research and education. In particular, cooperation will focus on technologies essential to modern defense, such as drone operation technology and AI software development.
JEI University will utilize its educational infrastructure to provide practical technical training to military personnel. The ROK Army 17th Infantry Division has agreed to share technical requirements needed in the field and support students in gaining practical experience in the defense sector.
This collaboration is expected to be a significant help in the modernization of defense technology and in enabling young people to develop expertise in drones and artificial intelligence, which are core technologies of future industries.
