Korea University of Technology and Education Produces Merchandise Featuring 35-Year History Using AI Technology
Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH) is drawing attention for producing special merchandise using artificial intelligence (AI) technology to commemorate its 35th anniversary. This project was planned to reflect on the university's past 35 years and to build a future-oriented institutional image.
This program was conducted through an intensive mentoring method where two domestic students and four international students formed a team. Over the course of two days and one night, the students teamed up to share information necessary for university life, understand each other's cultures, and foster a sense of cooperation.
Participating students used AI programs to reinterpret the university's symbols and history with a modern sensibility. The designs created in this way were turned into various merchandise items, receiving a great response from students and faculty members. This activity served as an opportunity for students to experience the latest technology firsthand and create creative outcomes.
A university official stated that this event served as an opportunity to instill pride in the university among students and help international students adapt more quickly to Korean university life. Korea University of Technology and Education plans to continue operating various programs that support students' creative activities in the future.
