September 6th is 'Resource Circulation Day' Every Year, Reflecting on the Meaning of Environmental Protection
Every year, September 6th is 'Resource Circulation Day,' jointly hosted by the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Waste Association. This day was designated to raise awareness that waste can also be a valuable resource and to promote the importance of resource circulation. The government and various organizations hold diverse events around this time every year.
In celebration of this year's Resource Circulation Day, exhibitions such as the 'Waste and Resource Circulation Industry Exhibition' were held across the country. At these events, visitors were able to see the latest technologies for recycling discarded items and eco-friendly products firsthand. Many citizens participated, taking the time to learn about proper waste separation methods that can be practiced in daily life and the importance of resource conservation.
Meanwhile, in our society, alongside environmental protection, the routine processes of life such as mandatory military service are also treated as important. From the generations that visited the Military Manpower Administration's physical examination centers in the past to the youth of today, there are scenes of life that every South Korean citizen goes through. In this way, both the public value of environmental protection and individual daily lives serve as important pillars supporting our society.
Resource circulation is more than just reducing waste; it is an essential effort to pass on a clean environment to future generations. We hope that this year's Resource Circulation Day events will serve as an opportunity for many people to once again reflect on the value of recycling resources.
The government plans to continue promoting various policies to revitalize the circular economy. We hope that all citizens will join in protecting the environment through small actions in their daily lives.
